Hi to all of you who have signed up for my Advanced Training.
My wonderful partner, Graham, is having some health issues at the moment, so I feel that I can’t travel at the moment, so will be unable to come to Germany in November to be with you.
I was really looking forward to seeing you all again and continuing our learning journey together, however, life is what it is. And I feel so pleased that all of my Feldenkrais learning and experience has really enabled me to stay open, accepting and adaptable through this time….feeling that I have the skills to not get stuck, but can allow life to simply keep moving me.
As I look at the title of the Advanced Training – DYNAMIC BALANCE – I have a sense that this has really been important in my process at the moment, and HOW I am utilising it in both my personal journey and those of my clients.
Therefore, I would like to invite you to consider me presenting the Advanced Training as a zoom module over 2 days.
We would explore the ideas in our personal practice of ATM – I would send a transcript of the ATMs beforehand so that you can experience the ATMs yourself, with some thoughts/questions to consider on the functional, organisational and learning principles embedded in the lesson. I would then teach the ATM putting my perspectives on what I would bring more foreground to your attention, and we can discuss your experiences, and what you could apply to both your own learning and your clients learning.
We would also observe an FI video of Dr Feldenkrais working with a client, that again, you would observe beforehand, to share your thoughts on how you saw he adapted to the clients learning and functional needs.
„Dynamic Balance“
All movement requires a balance between Stability and Instability.
We need many ways to call our attention back to what we are doing – to question whether our habits are helping or hindering us. And we need to explore this in positions of both great stability and inherent instability – to give us time to come into ourselves, and also to ‘wake us up’.
In this workshop, we will explore these ideas, firstly in our own experience, and then how to explore this in others in both ATM & FI. Through practical exercises and reflections, participants will gain insights into how to cultivate dynamic balance in their movements and daily activities. By alternating between moments of stability and moments of challenge, we will learn to recognize and modify habitual patterns that may not serve us well. This process of self-awareness and adaptation is crucial for achieving a harmonious integration of SELF – while thinking, feeling, sensing & moving.
